Another koi picked out last Autumn was this Nisai Kohaku from Kansuke Koi Farm. A modest 46cm at Nisai she screamed potential. Seeing elder koi of Kansuke’s we decided to buy her. She spent the summer in the mud pond and was harvested in excellent condition. Sublime skin quality and beni quality to die for.
Left photo is as Nisai, right at Sansai and now 55cm.
Generally speaking Kansuke koi are more slow burners in terms of size, but quality can be seen to last a lot longer than some other koi that get pushed to extreme sizes when young. She certainly has an excellent future ahead of her. Crisp, clean and glowing skin quality.
